Baseball Recap: Southwest Virginia Academy Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Southwest Virginia Academy's offense. They came up short against the Blue Ridge Jays on Monday, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Monday.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwest Virginia Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Blue Ridge, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will venture away from home to take on Faith Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest Virginia Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Jays' matchup: after the Jays face off against Roanoke Valley Christian, they'll take on Southwest Virginia Academy again at 4:30 p.m. on May 2.
