Baseball Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Anna-Jonesboro lost against DuQuoin back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna-Jonesboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Sheffer, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Sheffer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Anna-Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for DuQuoin, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Anna-Jonesboro has already played their next contest, a 9-7 win against Frankfort on the 15th. As for DuQuoin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Nashville on the 15th.
