Picayune can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Long Beach Bearcats as Picayune made off with a 9-3 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Maroon Tide have posted against the Bearcats since May 6, 2017.

Picayune's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-10. As for Long Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Picayune will have a chance to go back-to-back against Long Beach: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
