Football Game Preview: University Lab Cubs vs. Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy

The University Lab Cubs will square off against Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, University Lab earned a 36-25 victory over St. Paul's. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy). They blew past Collegiate 42-8 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy with their most commanding win of the season.

University Lab better keep an eye on Kenny Jones. He was instrumental in Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy's win, rushing for 162 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Jones a new career-high. Adonnice Skinner was another key player, picking up 51 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
