Softball Recap: Brillion Takes a Loss

If Brillion was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Manitowoc Lutheran on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Two Rivers Purple Raiders on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Brillion's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Two Rivers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brillion is set to take on their familiar foe Kiel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Two Rivers will challenge rival New Holstein at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Purple Raiders 3.2, the Huskies 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
