Volleyball Recap: Scituate Comes Up Short

Scituate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southeastern RVT Hawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

Scituate was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Southeastern RVT work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 26-24, 25-18.

Corbin Ward paced Scituate's offense, picking up eight kills. Ward got some help from Caleb Foley and his 11 assists. Keston Berard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Scituate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Southeastern RVT, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scituate is set to challenge their familiar foe North Quincy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southeastern RVT will take on rival Silver Lake Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
