Volleyball Game Preview: Hill City Rangers vs. Alliance Bulldogs

Hill City is a perfect 3-0 against Alliance since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rangers will host the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. Hill City will be strutting in after a victory while Alliance will be coming in after a loss.

Hill City is returning to their home court after beating Custer on theirs, despite the fact Custer has dominated at home this season. The Rangers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Alliance suffered their biggest defeat since September 25th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Chadron. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Alliance was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chadron work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12, 25-14.

Hill City will have to contain Kenley Jelinek as she made an impact in Alliance's last game. She had ten digs and one assist. Reese Armstrong also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Hill City, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.

Hill City was able to grind out a solid win over Alliance in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
