Pensacola Catholic got themselves on the board against Providence School on Friday, but Providence School never followed suit. They blew past the Stallions 35-0. That looming 35-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Crusaders yet this season.

Ethan Crandall was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Crandall was just one part of a punishing run game: Pensacola Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Providence School only rushed for -3 rushing yards.

The victory (which was Pensacola Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Providence School, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Pensacola Catholic will face off against Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Providence School, they will square off against Cornerstone Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stallions will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
