Preview: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Burgin Bulldogs
The Bluegrass United Bluehawks are on the road again on Thursday and plays the Burgin Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. Hopefully Bluegrass United focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Even though Thomas Nelson scored an imposing 70 points, Bluegrass United still came out on top. Bluegrass United snuck past the Generals with a 74-70 win. The win was just what Bluegrass United needed coming off of a 67-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
Bluegrass United's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Burnett, who scored 26 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Stiefel, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Burgin had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 50-42 win over Model last Tuesday.
The win got Bluegrass United back to even at 12-12. Burgin's record now sits at 4-15.
