Football Recap: Beach Takes a Loss

Beach kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 37-0 defeat at the hands of the Calvary Day Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 50th).

The critical scores for Calvary Day came from LaVon Owens, MJ Knight, Scottie Walker, and Jalen Hicks.

Coming up, Beach will venture away from home to square off against Savannah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvary Day, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
