Lampasas was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Kennedale Wildcats 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Badgers.

Kent Ashley and Edwin Gonzalez scored both of Lampasas' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Lampasas' win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Kennedale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-2.

Lampasas wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Carter-Riverside on the 16th. As for Kennedale, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 win against Eagle Mountain on the 14th.
