Volleyball Recap: Columbia Raiders vs. Smithville Smithies        
        
		
             Columbia and Smithville squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but Columbia had to settle for second. They lost  3-0 to the Smithville Smithies.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15,  25-8.
 Among those leading the charge was   Molly Torrence, who  had 12  digs.
 Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Smithville, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 17 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record  this season.
 Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smithville, they will face off against Independence at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the  match red-hot, with Smithville sitting on  six straight  wins and Independence on five.
