Baseball Recap: Shady Spring Gets the Win

While Shady Spring's victory against Tygarts Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Shady Spring narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tygarts Valley 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 30, 2024.

Noah Fox looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Cutter Boggs was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Shady Spring's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Tygarts Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.

Shady Spring has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Woodrow Wilson on the 29th. As for Tygarts Valley, they will challenge Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tygarts Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Highland has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
