With a playoff win on the line, Mt. Abraham rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Springfield Cosmos with a sharp 6-0 victory. Give Mt. Abraham's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

They hit Springfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jaran Griffin (3), Abraham Camara, Maverick Livingston, and James Graziadei.

Mt. Abraham's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-2.

Mt. Abraham didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rice Memorial on the 28th. Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
