Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Rocky Ford Meloneers
Make it five blowout wins for the Fowler Grizzlies this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Rocky Ford 53-21 on the road. The score was close at the half, but Fowler pulled away in the second half with 36 points.
Fowler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gracie Osborne led the charge by scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. Osborne has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Randi Maestas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Rocky Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fowler will face off against Walsenburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky Ford, they will head out on the road to take on Rye at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
