Basketball Recap: West Central Victorious

West Central's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Clayton-Ridge Eagles by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

West Central's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Clayton-Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Central will take on Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Clayton-Ridge, they will square off against MFL MarMac at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. MFL MarMac will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Clayton-Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
