Chris Johnson of Blue Ridge ran for the longest rushing play in IV Section V this season against Coolidge last week. Johnson's team bested the Bears as he sprinted for 93 yards on the play and finished with 152 in all.

Show Low was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Safford. The Cougars came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.

Show Low's dynamic duo of Colby Maxwell and Steffen Koury proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Maxwell threw for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns and Koury had 78 yards receiving. Quintan Clark helped Show Low's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 77 yards.

He went 20-31 with 1 interception.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Brennan Schimmel. The Blue Ridge star has 43 catches for 912 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Show Low takes on second place Blue Ridge. Randy Ricedorff's team defeated Safford last week, while Blue Ridge beat Coolidge.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Paul Moro's team's Schimmel goes up against the Cougars' Trevor Solomon.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Show Low takes on the Yellow Jackets. The Cougars' offense has recorded 536 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Blue Ridge has permitted only 129 on the year.

Ty Reidhead has rushed for 980 yards on 128 carries so far this year.

The Yellow Jackets' Schimmel is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 88 receiving yards against Show Low to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has acheived 43 catches for 912 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Cougars take on Blue Ridge. Show Low has allowed 134 points this season, while the Yellow Jackets have given up 129. The Cougars allowed 20 points last week as they bested Michael Alba's team.

There should be lots of points scored when Show Low and Blue Ridge face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Cougars comes in having scored 536 this season, while the Yellow Jackets have scored 499. Show Low scored 64 points last week as it topped the Bulldogs.

Adding to the longest winning streak in IV Section V this week, the Cougars beat Safford 64-20. The victory was the ninth in a row for Show Low.
