Soccer Recap: Rabun County Takes a Loss

Rabun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Elbert County Blue Devils. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Rabun County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Elbert County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rabun County will head out to square off against Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elbert County, they are taking a road trip to take on Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elbert County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
