Basketball Game Preview: West Lutheran Warriors vs. Liberty Classical Academy

West Lutheran is a perfect 6-0 against Liberty Classical Academy since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The West Lutheran Warriors will venture away from home to challenge Liberty Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. West Lutheran has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 24.

Last Monday, West Lutheran was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Hope Academy.

Meanwhile, Liberty Classical Academy earned a 91-78 win over Twin Cities Academy/Great River on Monday. Given Liberty Classical Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Twin Cities Academy/Great River is ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty Classical Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.9 points over those games. As for West Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.

West Lutheran beat Liberty Classical Academy 75-63 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Lutheran since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
