            Softball Recap: South Albany Redhawks vs. West Albany Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            South Albany made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Albany, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Redhawks fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  9-7 on Friday. The Redhawks haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
  Maddie Angel was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and three  runs.  Emily Tschida was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
South Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for West Albany, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record  this season.
 South Albany will take on North Salem at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Redhawks are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for West Albany, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Crescent Valley  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.29  runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
