Baseball Recap: The Classical Academy Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither The Classical Academy nor Pueblo South made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Titans fell just short of the Colts by a score of 3-2. The Titans have struggled against the Colts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The Classical Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CJ Mullen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Mullen has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pueblo South, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. The Classical Academy will head out to face off against La Junta at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pueblo South, they will venture away from home to challenge Palmer Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
