Volleyball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Classical Academy entered their matchup against Faith Baptist on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights fell just short of the Contenders by a score of 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 22, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Trinity Classical Academy came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 15-25, 17-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Faith Orquiola went supernova For Faith Baptist., getting 17 digs and 15 assists. Those 17 digs gave Orquiola a new career-high.

Trinity Classical Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Faith Baptist, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Classical Academy will challenge Palmdale Academy Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Faith Baptist, they will welcome Desert Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
