Soccer Game Preview: St. Charles East vs. Jefferson

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will face off against the Jefferson J-Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Charles East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Thursday, neither St. Charles East nor Sycamore could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The Fighting Saints' goal came courtesy of Volodymyr Pauchok, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Jefferson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

With that draw, St. Charles East's record moves to 11-5-4. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
