Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Springs). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 79-76 victory over the Lee's Summit North Broncos on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Broncos are ranked 13th).

Blue Springs moved to 8-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lee's Summit North, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Blue Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lee's Summit North, they will head out to face off against Blue Springs South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
