Volleyball Recap: Lane Tech Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Oak Park-River Forest

Lane Tech faced Oak Park-River Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Champions fell 2-0 to the Huskies. The Champions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

While Lane Tech was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Lane Tech's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 24-6. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Lane Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Glenbrook North on the 9th.
