Volleyball Game Preview: Nauset Regional Warriors vs. Nantucket Whalers

Nauset Regional is 1-9 against Nantucket since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Whalers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Nauset Regional didn't have quite enough to beat Sturgis East and fell 3-2. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Storm 25-21 in the first set.

Nauset Regional started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-23, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Nantucket came up short against Mashpee on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Nauset Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Nantucket, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
