Recap: Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders vs. Meadow Bridge Wildcats
After flying high against the New Life Christian Academy Lions last Friday, the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders came back down to earth. Greater Beckley Christian took a hard 46-32 fall against Meadow Bridge on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Greater Beckley Christian of the 59-25 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Greater Beckley Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leah Adkins, who scored 14 points along with four steals, and Olivia Price who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 43.8% of Greater Beckley Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
It was another big night for Keirston Rozell, who scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals for Meadow Bridge. Lily Hayes was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Greater Beckley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Meadow Bridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greater Beckley Christian will take on Mountain Mission at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meadow Bridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Richwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
