Baseball Recap: Coahoma Wins Going Away Against Denver City

Coahoma made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Denver City, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Mustangs on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 9-3 loss.

Colby Walker made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah White, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Kobi Olivas was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Coahoma kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver City only managed four hits.

Coahoma's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Denver City, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.
