Basketball Recap: Joplin Eagles vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets
Joplin lost against Lebanon back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Joplin Eagles fell 47-39 to the Lebanon Yellowjackets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lebanon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilly Bradbury, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance also gave Bradbury a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Kendall Bybee also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Joplin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Lebanon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joplin will head out to take on Republic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to square off against Ozark at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
