After a string of three wins, Waverly's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a blow against the Minford Falcons, falling 62-34. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Falcons are ranked 103rd).

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Minford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Waverly will be taking part in a tournament against Logan Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Minford, they will square off against Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
