Soccer Recap: Lufkin Takes a Loss

Lufkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians. While losing is never fun, Lufkin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Jacksonville are ranked 33rd).

Lufkin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Jacksonville, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Lufkin will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jacksonville, they will take on Whitehouse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
