Volleyball Recap: South Point Gets the Win

South Point saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mallard Creek Mavericks.

Olivia Easton paced South Point's offense, picking up 11 kills. Easton got some help from Ava Cooper and her 12 assists. Ella Aschmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Mallard Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mia Harris had seven digs and two aces.

South Point now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mallard Creek, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

South Point has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Porter Ridge on the 23rd. As for Mallard Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Charlotte Christian on the 23rd.
