Football Recap: Bunker Hill Comes Up Short

Bunker Hill managed to slip by Bandys the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears were beaten by the Trojans 41-12 on Friday. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Although Bunker Hill took the loss, they still got scores from Cam Ruff and Jorrod Dials.

Brady Swett produced another solid performance throwing for 218 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards and one TD for Bandys. Those four passing touchdowns gave Swett a new career-high. Tanner Stewart was another key player, gaining 114 total yards and a touchdown.

Bunker Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bandys, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunker Hill will take on East Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bandys, they will challenge Newton-Conover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
