Softball Recap: Strathmore Takes a Loss

If Strathmore was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Wonderful College Prep Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the Woodlake Tigers on Thursday, falling 10-2. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Strathmore saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mollie Gillis, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Strathmore's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Woodlake, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Strathmore will take on Porterville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodlake, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Delano on the 12th.
