Volleyball Preview: Valders Vikings vs. Brillion Lions        
        
		
            Valders and Brillion are an even 5-5 against one another  since September of 2021, but  not for long. The Vikings will challenge the Lions on Saturday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Valders is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. They blew past Southern Door 3-0. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21,  25-20.

 Valders' success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Audrey Wagner, who  had 19  assists and six  digs, and   Mariah McCulley, who  had 11  digs. That's the most  digs  McCulley has posted  over her last five  matches.
Meanwhile, Brillion hadn't done well against Chilton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Lions walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Tigers.
 Brillion had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-14, 25-12,  25-21.
 Brillion's win bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Valders, their victory bumped their record up to 23-14.
 Everything went Valders' way against Brillion in their previous meeting  on October 2nd, as Valders made off with  a  3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
