Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Keegan Hutson and Ethan Jaramillo Lead Amarillo Collegiate Academy to Victory

Amarillo Collegiate Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons 57-36. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy was led to victory by Ethan Jaramillo and Keegan Hutson. Jaramillo went 8 of 11 to rack up 16 points and seven boards, while Hutson dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hutson a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Will Stollings, who went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record this season. As for Grace Classical Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-1.
