Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Early College Lions vs. Greer Yellow Jackets + Official Tickets

The Legacy Early College Lions will take on the Greer Yellow Jackets in a holiday battle at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Legacy Early College and four for Greer.

Last Tuesday, Legacy Early College came up short against Gray Collegiate Academy and fell 52-41. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the War Eagles are ranked 16th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kaylan Hickman, who posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Buff, who earned nine points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Greer played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by James F. Byrnes and fell 66-19. The Yellow Jackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.

Greer's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Legacy Early College, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
