Soccer Recap: Johnson County Takes a Loss

Johnson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawkinsville Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hawkinsville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in February.

Johnson County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Hawkinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Johnson County will face off against rival Dooly County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hawkinsville is set to challenge their familiar foe Georgia Military College at 5:30 p.m. on April 3. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Hawkinsville has won five straight at home, while Georgia Military College won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
