Bowie entered their tilt with Rivercrest on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They really took it to the Rivercrest Rebels for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-32 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Rivercrest lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Diana Kelley, who posted 11 points.

Bowie's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.5 points per game. As for Rivercrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowie will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bloomburg at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Rivercrest and Campbell will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th.
