Frederica Academy and John Milledge Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Frederica Academy had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Trojans 35-7. Frederica Academy's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

John Milledge Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asa Wall, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Wall has posted since back in August. Another passer making a difference was Lewis Cheney, who threw for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Frederica Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for John Milledge Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Frederica Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Milledge Academy, they will square off against Deerfield-Windsor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 9.1 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
