Softball Recap: Spanish Fort Takes a Loss

Spanish Fort suffered their biggest defeat since February 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings. The Toros were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Spanish Fort saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Nelson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Maggie Pollock also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Spanish Fort's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Mary G. Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spanish Fort will welcome Gulf Shores at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mary G. Montgomery, they will host Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
