Baseball Recap: Eagle Grove Takes a Loss

If Eagle Grove was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of North Iowa on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS on Saturday, falling 11-4. The Eagles haven't had much luck with Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Eagle Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-17.

Eagle Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they will challenge Van Meter on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
