Football Game Preview: Bellows Falls Terriers vs. Mt. Mansfield Cougars

Bellows Falls has gone a perfect 4-0 against Mt. Mansfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Terriers will take on the Cougars at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bellows Falls has six straight wins, Mt. Mansfield has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bellows Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Lyndon Institute, who was ranked 12th at the time (Bellows Falls was ranked seventh). The Terriers enjoyed a cozy 32-14 victory over the Vikings on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Terriers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Mt. Mansfield had to suffer through a 36-7 loss at the hands of U-32.

Mt. Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bellows Falls, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Bellows Falls strolled past Mt. Mansfield in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a score of 40-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Terriers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
