Football Game Preview: Steubenville Big Red vs. Buckeye Valley Barons + How To Watch

The Steubenville Big Red will be playing at home against the Buckeye Valley Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Buckeye Valley will be up against a hot Steubenville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to seven. The Big Red breezed past Wheeling Park to the tune of 38-7 two weeks ago. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Big Red had established a 24-point advantage.

Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Athens 42-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Barons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 342nd).

Buckeye Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Steubenville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Steubenville against Buckeye Valley when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 47-7 win. Will the Big Red repeat their success, or do the Barons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
