Soccer Game Preview: Glen Lake vs. Traverse City West

The Glen Lake Lakers will challenge the Traverse City West Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Glen Lake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Glen Lake fell victim to Leland and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Comets. While losing is never fun, Glen Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Leland are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Traverse City West's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. Neither they nor Marshall could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result kept Traverse City West happy, as they haven't lost a game since May 3rd.

Traverse City West's draw makes their record 14-4-2 this season. As for Glen Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
