Basketball Recap: Spring Mills Takes a Loss

The Spring Mills Cardinals were beaten by the Hurricane Redskins 59-19 on Friday.

Leading Hurricane to victory were Kenya Kathale and Brooklyn Jones. Kathale posted nine points in addition to six assists and six steals, while Jones dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Those six steals gave Kathale a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby O'Malley, who earned seven points and ten boards.

Spring Mills' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hurricane, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Spring Mills has already played their next contest (against Cabell Midland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hurricane, they have also already played their next game, a 61-42 defeat against James Monroe on the 6th.
