Baseball Recap: Collinsville Takes a Loss

The Collinsville Kahoks came up short against the Routt Catholic Rockets on Friday and fell 9-4.

Collinsville got a good showing from Logan O'Dell, who struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Collinsville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Parrill, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Routt Catholic, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Collinsville and Routt Catholic will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the field. Collinsville will head out to face Centennial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Routt Catholic will play them later in the day, at 1:15 p.m.
