Volleyball Recap: Mcgregor Extends Winning Streak to Three

McGregor barely beat La Vega the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Pirates 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games in a row.

While McGregor won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cemaria Kelly, who had six digs and one block. Damice Burns was another key player, getting nine kills, five aces, and one block.

McGregor's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for La Vega, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

McGregor will be taking part in a tournament against Mexia at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for La Vega, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
