Holly is 10-0 against Springfield since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Holly Wildcats will challenge the Springfield Longhorns at 2:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

It was a proper cat-fight when Holly duked it out withGranada on Thursday. Holly fell 54-44 to Granada. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Primero. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 86th).

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Holly took their victory against Springfield when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 63-41. Will Holly repeat their success, or does Springfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
