Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Royal Palm Beach). They blew past the Glades Central Raiders 23-8 on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Valeria Mejia, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-3.

Royal Palm Beach's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Glades Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Royal Palm Beach will venture away from home to challenge Forest Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.77 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glades Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Suncoast at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
